Biography
Alabama born and raised. A man of faith with a passion for spreading original art to the masses. Alongside of my art career, I hope to build a better pathway for artists and their careers. It's my opinion we are slipping into world where everything becomes replicated, generated by a machine, and disconnected from the human touch.
I would say this is one of many the reasons why I a became an artist. It's undeinable there is something special when an artist expresses their inner thoughts, emotions, and imagination on to a canvas. One of the creations mimicing the Creator.
My medium of choice from childhood to early adulthood has been acrylic. I've slowly transitioned to oil as my preferred medium now. I primarily work in the following subjects; landcapes, portraits, abstract, and Biblical. My work has been described as vibranancy that screams a bright colors with purpose. Alongside my vibrant palette is the practice of balancing my paintings with different use of lines and shapes. In part, this one of the reasons I have gravitated to carpentry and tile.
Recently, went to trade school to learn how to build custom art frames, tile installation, and doors. In particular, tile has been something I have aspirations to implement into my art career/portfolio. Making mosaics and art pieces made of tile. In essence, provide art pieces with customers who want to install tile into their bathrooom, kitchen, or home. Instead, of beautiful tile with no subject in mind, people's tile installation will feature art. In a way, bringing what is common in the European art culture to the homes and churches of the United States.
